Coláiste na Coiribe in Knocknacarra

Education Minister Richard Bruton officially opened the new school building for Coláiste na Coiribe in Knocknacarra on Friday 22nd September

The state-of-the-art facility at Ballyburke on the Ballymoneen Road opened its doors to students for the first time in October 2015. Coláiste na Coiribe was established in 1992 and was the first all-Irish secondary school in Galway City.

The new building was designed by COADY Architects. It can accommodate up to 720 students and will be the largest gaelcoláiste in the country when at full capacity.
