NUIG Student Accommodation

New 429 bed student accommodation scheme for NUI Galway completed on programme
On Sunday 2nd September a total of 429 NUI Galway Students took up residence in the new Goldcrest Village on-campus development, constructed immediately adjacent the existing Corrib Village development. This large residential project represents the first phase of a series of significant investments by the University to address the student housing shortfall within the city - design development of the Phase 2 scheme (470 bed spaces) is currently well underway and on target for lodging for planning in October.
The design team included FCB Studios, JV Tierney Consulting Engineers, Punch Consulting Engineers, Mitchell+Associates Landscape Architects, McCarthy Keville O’Sullivan Planning Consultants, JGA Fire Consultants & OLM PSDP.
