Student Housing, NUI Galway-Phase 2
This new student accommodation scheme, comprising of 680 en-suite bedrooms (total area of 20,400m2) to be constructed in the northern residential quarter of the university, is the second phase of student residences to be realised on the existing campus following the successful handover of the Goldcrest Village project in 2018. The development constitutes a major new addition to the college and will have a transformative effect on the existing campus. The scheme comprising building blocks between four and eight storeys in height fronts onto the Corrib River and is located directly along the main campus ‘boulevard’ linking back to the academic quarter / adjoining park-and ride facility. Buildings are ranged around a series of new hard / soft landscaped courtyards - each with their own distinctive character.
