Rockall, Foxrock
Residential development of 28 apartments in a new apartment block adjoining Foxrock Golf Course in South County Dublin.
Rockall is a small apartment development nestled into a sylvian setting, adjoining the open space of Foxrock Golf Course. The site is accessed from a mature residential neighbourhood. The design carefully assessed the importance of the existing trees and their condition, and the overlooking sensitivities of the adjoining houses to develop a sympathetic building massing. The resultant building form encloses a new landscaped court to the south, retaining the most important trees and providing wonderful views over the adjacent golf course.
A new landscape strategy provided for a pedestrian route through the site linking neighbouring roads on either side of the site.
