Scoil Bhride, Kill
This 32 classroom school extends to three storeys to minimise the footprint on a very restricted site and successfully encloses the entrance areas to the front of the building. Classrooms are grouped around light-filled concourses with galleried voids visually linking all parts of the school. The PE halls are twinned to allow them to open as one large space or be divided in two with an acoustic partition. Natural timber paneling, skirtings and door frames bring added warmth to the interior while glazed doors and screens bring brightness through the depth of the building. A vibrant range of colours bring joy and variety to our young building users.
