Social Housing PPP Programme – Bundle 1
COADY Architects are design team lead and technical advisor for the Social Housing PPP Bundle 1 comprising the design, build, finance and maintenance of 6 social housing developments comprising a total of 534 dwellings on 6 sites in Dublin, Kildare, Louth and Wicklow.
Our role included preparing specimen designs for the project, preparing documentation and reports required, and obtaining necessary statutory approvals. Following planning approval, we assisted in the procurement process. All six sites have been handed over for occupation. COADY Architects have provided a design and construction monitoring service during construction as technical advisor to the NDFA.
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage are the Approving Authority and Dublin City Council are the lead Local Authority / Sponsoring Agency for the Social Housing PPP Programme with the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) acting as financial advisor, procuring authority and project manager.
COADY Architects are the lead architect for all six sites, with Sean Harrington Architects as a sub-consultant with specific responsibility for two of the sites. This partnership has developed distinctive design solutions in response to specific site constraints and opportunities, local authority requirements and individual architectural approach, based on common design and functional strategies adopted across each location.
