The STEM Building at AIT is one of six HEI buildings to be delivered under a PPP contract through the NDFA for the DoES and HEA. The 6,065sqm l-shaped building has 21 laboratories, a lecture theatre, ICT rooms, collaboration and innovation spaces, departmental offices, administrative spaces and ancillary accommodation across three floors on a steeply sloping site to the west of the Main Institute Building (MIB) in AIT.

The building provides a link between the MIB and the Engineering Building to the north with extensive landscaping bridging the level difference between the two. Within the building, a double height foyer leads to collaboration and innovation spaces on the ground floor with laboratories on the upper floors reached by a hellerup stair used for informal learning and social interaction.
